Commonly known as jamaica, they have an intensely herbal, fruity taste. Joanne Weir's Cooking Confidence  "Journey to Italy"  Joanne shares her memories of Italy with her student Barbra recreating some of the dishes form her travels. She starts with a simple salad of fig and prosciutto, then slowly adds just enough red wine for a faro risotto, and finally ends the meal with a dessert of strawberry, port, and black pepper. Recipes: Fig And Blueberry Salad With Creme Fraiche, Mint and Prosciutto di Parma, Farro Risotto with Red Wine and Grana Padano, Strawberry with Port and Black Pepper, and an Aperol Champagne Cocktail. Then, host Christopher Kimball uncovers the tips and techniques for perfect cake making. And finally, test cook Julia Collin Davison shows Chris how to make foolproof Split Pea and Ham Soup. D

First, Julie and Beth have a perfect baby album - not only is it adorable but it's very easy and includes some cards to match. Then, Julianna Hudgins is back with great ideas for scrapbooking for kids. D

Paint This with Jerry Yarnell  "First Love, Part 1"  (16x20 Acrylic) This session starts by under painting the piece in sections starting with dark green, leafy canopy in the upper third of the canvas, as well as adding some light spots representing leafy motion. Next, the horizon line is added by placing the road bank and the light green horizon highlight. The road is then added using a transparent burnt sienna, which should be double-coated because of its transparency. D

This Old House  "Bedford Project, Part 8 of 16"  General contractor Tom Silva finishes up the last of the structural work by replacing an undersized and partially rotted old post in the kitchen. Meanwhile, window restoration specialist Alison Hardy reinstalls the restored historic window sashes in the dining room, adding spring-action hardware and weather stripping to make them more efficient. In the garage, host Kevin O'Connor finds electrician Allen Gallant upgrading the electrical service to 100 amps so it can function as a workshop. D

Ask This Old House  "Fixing a Kitchen Sink Drain; Quieting Squeaky Hardwood Floors"  Plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey travels to Georgia to fix a kitchen sink drain. Then Richard, along with host Kevin O'Connor, landscape contractor Roger Cook and general contractor Tom Silva, asks "What Is It?" Afterward, Tom helps a homeowner quiet his squeaky hardwood floors. D

American Woodshop  "Window Bench"  This style of bench was originally found in New York. A tilt-up seat reveals a hidden storage compartment. The white ash seat is strong yet beautiful. D

Rough Cut - Woodworking with Tommy Mac  "Serving Cart"  On this Rough Cut episode, Tommy makes a practical Serving Cart, essential for any kitchen, out of scrap tiger maple. The project is a basic cart form, however, for the top serving area, Tommy goes on a Road Trip to look for the right solid surface. In Canton, Massachusetts, Tommy explores different kinds of man-made and solid surfaces with the help of fabricator Paul D'Attanasio. D

NOVA  "Killer Subs In Pearl Harbor"  NOVA dives with the research group that successfully finds the fifth Japanese mini-sub that was known to have been in or near Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. While the initial four subs discovered had not fired their torpedoes, compelling evidence indicates the fifth sub completed its mission with mixed results.G

Antiques Roadshow  "Minneapolis, MN - Hour Three"  Highlights include an 1863 Ulysses S. Grant letter and a circa 1950 Charles Schulz Li'l Folks original cartoon. Two paintings - one by Victor Higgins, the other by Spencer - purchased together for $5 are now valued up to $75,200. Part 3 of 3G
