Carlson has written a book about his experiences working for Andrus titled Idaho?s Greatest Governor. The two discuss Andrus' personal and political philosophies, as well as what they consider the highlights of his career. The former governor also weighs in on current political issues, such as the partisanship in Congress, President Obama's performance, the Occupy movement, wilderness designation and salmon recovery.G

At school, Sid and his friends explore the science of light and discover that light comes from various energy sources. They also discover that there are some light sources that can't be turned off, like the biggest light source of all. D

The Desert Speaks  "Treasures of the Galapagos"  The second of three episodes in the Galapagos Islands finds host David Yetman hunting large cacti on a desert island. Along the way, he discovers flamingos in the middle of a huge lava lake, ghost crabs (so named for their quick disappearing act) and a variety of plant species endemic to certain islands. Yetman also explores the nesting grounds of sea turtles and finds a unique post office on the island of Floreana where pirates and whalers have used the same wooden container for centuries to leave or take mail depending on its destination. Dinosaur Train  "Armored Like An Ankylosaurus/Campout!"  Armored Like an Ankylosaurus - The kids travel on the Dinosaur Train with Mr. Pteranodon to see his hero, Hank Ankylosaurus, play a game of Dinoball. Afterwards, they even get to play with Hank and learn what it's like to be a dinosaur that's covered with armored plates and a mighty club for a tail. Campout! - Our Pteranodon family goes to the Big Pond for their first overnight camp out and meets a small frog with a big voice. D

Super Why!  "Around The World Adventure"  With the help of their teacher, Whyatt and his friends have contacted a girl from another school over the computer but they wonder where she lives. The super readers take a trip around the world with a wacky explorer name Wigglesbottom who is on the hunt for his friend Sophie. Will they be able to help Wigglesbottom find his friend, or will they be destined to travel the globe indefinitely? Educational Objectives: To learn about Geography. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Minnie Meerkat/Leaves"  Minnie Meerkat - Sally and Nick are planning to camp out in the backyard, but there are some scary noises out there! Not to worry, The Cat's friend Minnie Meerkat can teach them all about camping safe. Off to Peekaboo Plains where a group of meerkats show them how they make their camp safe every night. Now Sally and Nick know what to do to feel safe in the backyard. D

The show visits with people collecting, preserving and rebuilding the histories of Idaho lookouts. It also travels to the ends of roads and trails to meet people who are still spending their summers watching for fires in one of the 50 to 60 lookouts still used for fire detection.G
