Inez, who cares deeply for animals, soon realizes the bike path has divided the habitats of many of Tikiville's cute, cuddly creatures. D

Rough Cut with Fine Woodworking   Host Tom McLaughlin welcomes guest and veteran woodworker Terry Moore to his wood shop this week on Rough Cut with Fine Woodworking. Terry shares his technique for designing a dramatic sunburst walnut veneer pattern on a round side table while Tom heads to the lathe to show how to turn an Art Deco-inspired column. The two collaborate on the cross lapped joinery feet and the end result is an elegant, smooth, intriguing piece which is very pleasing to the eye. D

Joseph Rosendo's Travelscope  "Northwest Ontario - Lake Superior and Beyond"  Joseph takes off for Northwest Ontario, a region distinguished by Canada's great outdoors. On the 300-mile drive along the Trans-Canada Highway from Thunder Bay, on Northwest Ontario's eastern edge, to Kenora, near its Western border with Manitoba, the granite outcroppings of the Canadian Shield are revealed and the boreal forest covers the landscape. And there's water, water everywhere. D

Samantha Brown's Places to Love  "Xi'an, China"  Samantha travels to the ancient city of Xi'an, China, that once served as China's capital and dates back over 3,000 years. Along her journey, Samantha rides a bike atop the ancient City Wall that still fortifies Xi'an, visits the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Terracotta Warriors and attends a spectacular outdoor performance of "The Song of the Everlasting Sorrow. Grilled bananas with a spoon-licking caliber coconut-caramel sauce from Thailand (as good for breakfast or a snack as a dessert).
