Paint This with Jerry Yarnell  "Mama's Pride, Part 1"  (12x16 Gallery Wrap in Acrylic) In this opening segment Jerry starts with a grayed in canvas and applies an even coat of gesso. Next the red horizon and blue sky is created by adding light pigment to the gesso and blending to create the cool atmosphere required for this painting. Snow is next added to the foreground using a chisel edged glazing technique. D

This Old House  "Bedford Project - Part 4 of 16"  Host Kevin O'Connor arrives to find the floor and walls of the new entry addition framed up, and general contractor Tom Silva getting ready to create the connection to the main house. He lends a hand as they frame up the new roof that will overlay the existing roof. Mason Mark McCullough returns to repair the exterior chimney that was cut away to make way for the new family room addition. D

Ask This Old House  "Pruning an Overgrown Hedge; Installing a Kitchen Tile Backsplash"  Landscape contractor Roger Cook helps a homeowner prune an overgrown evergreen hedge. Then Roger, along with host Kevin O'Connor, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey and general contractor Tom Silva ask "what is it?" Afterward, Tom helps a homeowner install a tile backsplash in his kitchen. D
