Canine Soldiers: The Militarization of Love   Canine Soldiers explores the intimate bond between Military Working Dogs and their handlers-combat soldiers who make life-and-death decisions based on the instincts and behavior of the dogs who lead their patrols. In wars where the rules of engagement have shifted from traditional combat to the unforeseen and the invisible, these highly trained dogs are saving soldiers' lives and giving them comfort, hope and protection. Four-Four-Two, F Company at War   The 442nd Regimental Combat Team was an infantry regiment in the United States Army comprised of Americans of Japanese ancestry. The 442nd fought in Italy and France during World War II against the German Army of Hitler's Third Reich. It earned a reputation for being a crack infantry unit and the regiment and its men received considerable battle honors and individual medals of valor. This film follows the exploits of "F" Company through the letters of 1st Sergeant Jack Wakamatsu and interviews of five "F" Company veterans who recall in vivid detail their experiences from witnessing the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor to the Banzai charge on a hill in France where "F" Company wiped out a German company.G

Doolittle's Raiders: A Final Toast   The bottle of 1896 Hennessy Cognac was uncorked in front of hundreds of people. The surviving World War II veterans from one of history's greatest military missions were about to raise their silver goblets one last time ending a decades long tradition. It was time for the veterans to hold this final toast. D

Outdoor Idaho  "On The Henry's Fork"  Outsmarting the river's trophy trout is an obsession for some folks while others, like outfitter Bill Schiess, seek the secrets of nearby Henry's Lake. Love of the waterway has prompted traditional opponents to find new ways to manage the watershed.G

Dialogue  "Author Phil Klay"  On this edition of Dialogue, host Marcia Franklin interviews Phil Klay, an author and veteran of the war in Iraq. Klay's first work, Redeployment, won the National Book Award for Fiction in 2014. The 12 short stories in Redeployment draw on Klay's experiences as a U.S. Marine Corps Public Affairs Officer in the Anbar province of Iraq from 2007 to 2008.G

Nature  "The Gathering Swarms"  This program looks at some of the most extraordinary swarms on the planet, including a view from inside a locust swarm, mayflies along the Mississippi River, 17-year cicadas, and brine fly hatches over Lake Victoria.G
