Smart Travels - Pacific Rim With Rudy Maxa  "San Francisco"  The port city of San Francisco revels in art, diversity and food. Chinatown is a feast for the senses, and the city's new Asian Art Museum a must-see. We get savvy on sourdough and tour notorious Alcatraz Island. D

The Desert Speaks  "Heart of a Pueblo"  Plazas are the heart and soul of bustling Mexican cities and sleepy desert pueblos alike. Renowned architect Bob Vint travels with host David Yetman to explore a range of plazas, from pre-Hispanic to modern, and examine their unifying characteristics. The program includes a sampling of cities with some of the most beautiful and influential plazas, from the first pre-Hispanic plazas in Chichen Itza to one of the world's largest plazas in Mexico City. Ciao Italia  "Sicilian Pizza/Sfincione"  You can't travel to Sicily without enjoying its trademark flatbread treat, Sfingione. But if you can't be there in body, be there in spirit when Mary Ann shows you an easy way to prepare this doughy treat studded with sardines, chunks of Scamorza cheese, spicy tomato sauce, topped with bread crumbs and baked in the oven. Joining it there is a Pizza with Artichoke Hearts and Salted Ricotta Cheese. D

Taste of History  "Coffee at Colonial Williamsburg"  Colonial Williamsburg is one of the oldest settlements in America, and the British assumed it would become America's capital. Today, visitors can experience an entire village of Colonial life and authentic foods. Chef Staib cooks in Peyton Randolph's kitchen, preparing Chicken Vermicelli Soup, Veal Fricassee and Curried Rice Pilaf. D

Simply Ming  "Dennis Lee & Cooking with the Binchotan"  Sitting by the dock of the bay at San Francisco's Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, Ming shows viewers some of the city's best street food. Gone are the days of hot dogs, pretzels and fried dough. In their place you'll now find restaurant quality food in the form of Korean tacos, wood fired pizzas and Roti. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "A Slow and Easy Thanksgiving"  Test cook Becky Hays uncovers the secrets to a slow and easy Thanksgiving with Braised Turkey and makes Bread Stuffing for a crowd. And finally, equipment expert Adam Ried reviews oven thermometers in the Equipment Corner. D

Around The House with Matt and Shari  "Master Bedrooms"  Let's get the furniture positioned right, update the bedding, get the colors in line and fix up the master bedroom. Shari will also make an upholstered headboard. Then, it's faux finishing for new nightstands with a special guest. D

Austin City Limits  "Coldplay"  The Grammy-winners and modern-rock giants have sold more than 50 million records worldwide. They perform their hits and selections from their album Mylo Xyloto.G

Sesame Street  "Elmo Wants to Have A Ball"  Elmo's daddy has given him a dollar and he is not sure what to buy. He sees lots of things that are interesting, but decides that he wants a Stupendous Ball. The only problem is that it costs five dollars. D

Dinosaur Train  "Kenny Kentrosaurus/Don and the Troodons"  Kenny Kentrosaurus - As the Pteranodon's World Tour nears its end, the Pteranodon family travels to Africa to meet a Stegosaur named Kenny Kentrosaurus. He teaches the kids about his spikes and his tail, showing them how to thump, prompting a fun drumming party! Don and the Troodons - The Pteranodon family oversleeps and rushes to go on another World Tour! Don is allowed to stay back on the Train and he ends up having a fun and educational day with the Conductor and his mom, Mrs. Conductor!. D

Super Why!  "Woofster Finds A Home"  Whyatt goes to a pet adoption fair in Storybrook Village where he meets a little puppy who needs a family. Whyatt promises to look in a book to help until the puppy reveals he has a story of his own! As the superhero readers travel through the book Woofster Finds a Home, they find exciting ways to overcome obstacles and a new super reader joins the team! Educational Objectives: To learn what it means to find a home. Preschoolers will identify the letters N, I, C, E, practice the magic of spelling, and learn what the words "menacing," "prairie" and "no trespassing" mean! And, they'll use the power to read to change the story. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Jump!/Slow Down for Sloths"  Jump! - Nick and Sally can't jump high enough to get their balloon that is stuck up in a tree. Good thing The Cat knows some of the best jumpers ever! Off they go to Jumpalaroo to learn how to jump from nature's masters: grasshoppers, a kangaroo, and even a flea! Slow Down for Sloths - Nick and Sally are trying to draw a picture of a butterfly but can't get close enough to see it. Cat takes them to meet Onslow the Sloth, who teaches the kids that when you slow down, the world comes to you. D

Wild Kratts  "Bass Class"  Martin and Chris are in the middle of a friendly competition to find Small-mouth and Large-mouth Bass when they meet Wild Kratts Kid, Gavin, who is fishing. Before they can join him, Zach Varmitech arrives and challenges them to a fishing contest. The Wild Kratts team must use their knowledge of bass biology to win the tournament fair and square. D

2:00 pm 
Ucook! with Chef Bob   For the first course, Chef Bob puts together a succulent Parma ham salad with asparagus, morel mushrooms in a lemon thyme vinaigrette-dressing dish. Perfect for a first course and easy to make ahead of time before guests arrive. With this starter, Bob pairs an Italian Pinot Grigio, known for its crisp and clean fruit flavor that fills the mouth with the hints of apples and lichee. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Highlights of Castile: Toledo and Salamanca"  Rick marvels at El Greco, pops some explosive pickles and rambles Spain's most awe-inspiring medieval walls. He drops in on a bachelorette party, with local troubadours. He slices and savors tasty jamon, strolls with the crowd, and grabs a front-row seat to enjoy Europe's most enchanting square.G

The Desert Speaks  "Medieval Drought in the Southwest"  Between roughly 900 and 1260 AD there was a massive drought that severely impacted the plants, animals and people of the Southwest. Now referred to as the Medieval Drought, the best records of this phenomenon can be found within the trees that lived through this difficult time period. Host David Yetman hikes with Tom Swetnam from the University of Arizona's Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research through the White Mountains of California and Sequoia National Park to observe how scientists use tree rings to gather evidence of climate conditions from thousands of years ago. D

Outdoor Idaho  "Canyonlands Calling"  Cameras roam desert expanses, narrow canyons, mountains and rock formations of the southwest corner of Idaho. Participants reveal how eight years of collaborative effort among many interests can culminate in the federal Owyhee Initiative that includes many uses, including designated wilderness.G

Keeping Up Appearances - The Memoirs of Hyacinth Bucket   Hyacinth will go to manic lengths to ensure that even the most routine of daily events is just so, much to the chagrin of husband Richard and neighbor Liz.G

Mr. Bean  "The Trouble with Mr. Bean"  Late for a dentist appointment, Mr. Bean gets dressed while driving. In the park, he accidentally takes control of a wheelchair.G

Outnumbered   Karen is on a sleepover, and Ben is away at adventure camp. Mum and Dad are left with a labrador to look after and a glimpse of what life will be like once the children have left home.G
