This Globe Trekker puts an end to the myth as we follow traveler Judith Jones through Yorkshire and Northumberland. Her journey begins in rural Suffolk, continues on to the university city of Cambridge, Sheffield, Bradford and York. D

Simply Ming  "Rick Bayless"  PBS's own Chef Rick Bayless visits Ming in his loft this week to share his Mexican flavors. Rick, who has several restaurants in Chicago including the Frontera Grill and Topolobampo, which received the James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant in 2017, cooks up Mexican street corn tacos with homemade corn tortillas, while Ming makes his new egg omelet wrap with a corn, tomato, watercress and fermented black bean salsa. D

Lucky Chow  "Taiwan's True Flavors"  Danielle gets back to her roots in an episode devoted to the distinctive, rustic cuisine of Taiwan. With Cathy Erway, author of "Foods of Taiwan," she hits a Chinatown market and then makes the island's most famous dish, beef noodle soup. At Taiwan Bear House, started by homesick young expats, she tries a New York take on the box lunches known as biandang. D

Born to Explore with Richard Wiese  "Africa: The Elephant Trunk Show"  Richard Wiese heads to Africa to encounter elephants, the world's largest land mammal. In Namibia, he treks through the oldest desert in the world to track rare desert-adapted elephants. In South Africa, a relocated herd is thriving in its new home. D
