Simply Ming  "Johnny Iuzzini"  It's dark and stormy time when James Beard award-winning pastry uber-chef Johnny Iuzzini swings by Ming's Boston Loft. Johnny whips up an amazing frozen dark and stormy souffle while Ming does his own twist on a dark and stormy: dark and stormy doughnuts with a ginger cloud cream. Steven Raichlen's Project Smoke  "The Big Smoke"  Good things come in small packages? Maybe for jewelry, but not when it comes to barbecue. This show is all about thinking big and smoking big-with brined monster-thick smoked pork chops; wood-roasted Cape Town lamb; and spectacular smoked whole suckling pig. Our grand finale? Chocolate bread pudding hot off the smoker. D

Travel with Kids  "Big Island of Hawaii - Volcanoes & Movie Stars"  Explore the Big Island of Hawaii, from steaming volcanoes and lava tubes, to kayaking with locals learning about Captain Cook and Hawaiian traditions. Stay at a hotel with a fun family atmosphere with paddle boards and turtles. Snorkel near Captain Cooks monument and visit black sand beaches with turtles and a huge waterfall, plus a local market. D

Habitable Planet, The  "Oceans"  Ocean systems operate on a range of scales, from massive systems such as El Ni�o that affects weather across the globe to tiny photosynthetic organisms near the ocean surface that take in large amounts of carbon dioxide. This program looks at how ocean systems regulate themselves and thus help maintain the planet's habitability.G
11:30 pm 
Habitable Planet, The  "Ecosystems"  Scientists from the Smithsonian Center for Tropical Research document the astounding abundance of diversity in tropical rainforests to discover why so many species coexist that are competing for the same resources. In North America, the Yellowstone Wolf Reintroduction project explores why removing just one species dramatically changed the distribution of plants and animals up and down the food web. D
