Science Trek  "Force and Motion"  A force is basically a push or a pull. Forces like gravity, inertia, and momentum affect everything. Sir Isaac Newton developed his laws of motion to explain how these forces act. D

Roadtrip Nation  "Rattle The Cage"  The road-trippers meander through the South, eventually stopping in New Orleans, where they interview a range of individuals, including a chef, a graphic designer, and a veterinarian at a chimpanzee sanctuary. Later, on an airboat tour through the swamps of Lafitte, the team is surprised to learn that their boat operator is also an alligator wrestler whose involvement with the sport is rooted in a Native American tradition that dates back hundreds of years. Next, the road-trippers make the drive up to St. Louis, Missouri, where they participate in a Zombie Fun Run and on to Washington D.C.G

Bringing It Home with Laura McIntosh  "Harvest"  Laura travels to see one of the best disappearing acts for Fall, the Gravenstein apple harvest. The first apples to ripen in late summer are quickly disappearing. It is delicious and most arguably the most hallowed apple for the country states grower, Steve Dutton. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "Comfort Classics"  Host Julia Collin Davison makes the best roast chicken with root vegetables with host Bridget Lancaster and test cook Dan Souza reveals the secrets to making almost no-knead sourdough bread. D

Ciao Italia  "Cooking Live with Robert Irvine/Cucinando Con Roberto Irvine"  Mary Ann takes to the stage before a live audience with FoodTV Celebrity chef Robert Irvine and pastry wizard Chef Lynn Mansel to create an autumn-themed program. In between laughter and good natured teasing they create a hearty Minestrone, a Stuffed Turkey Breast with prosciutto di Parma. And Apple Carmel Bread Pudding. D

Joanne Weir Gets Fresh  "Fall Fruit"  While Fall is typically associated with the changing colors of leaves and harvesting the last of summer produce, Joanne takes a moment to highlight beautiful fall fruit, including pomegranates and pears. She'll also take us to a special Italian market and a Napa Winery, and teach her student how to prepare a Fall Fruit Salad. Recipes: Fall Fruit Salad with Pomegranate, Pear, Grapes and Pecans with White Balsamic Vinaigrette, Chicken Breasts stuffed with Montasio and Dried Figs, Pear Granita with Late Harvest Zinfandel and Black Pepper Student: Pascal Molat. Annabel Langbein: The Free Range Cook  "A French Country Table"  Annabel Langbein visits her neighbor's hazelnut orchard in New Zealand's Central Otago for the fall harvest, cooking up a rib-sticking pea and ham soup and a spiced apple cake for lunch. On the menu that night are artichokes fresh from the garden, chicken and leek gratin, and individual pear and hazelnut tarts. Recipes from this episode: rib-sticking pea and ham soup, one-pot spiced apple cake, artichokes with vinaigrette, Provencal crust, chicken and leek gratin, garlicky vegetable toss, hazelnut butter, individual pear and hazelnut tarts. Joanne Weir's Cooking Confidence  "Harvest Time"  Inspired by freshly picked vegetables, Joanne prepares a vegetarian feast. She begins by making a luscious butternut squash soup. And then for a twist with her student Sasha she cooks up some Gnocchi with Brown Butter using semolina instead of potatoes along with Kale with Garlic and White Balsamic. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "Autumn Desserts"  Host Bridget Lancaster goes into the test kitchen with host Julia Collin Davison to learn how to make the ultimate chewy oatmeal cookies. Then, equipment expert Adam Ried reviews mini prep bowls in the Equipment Corner. Finally, test cook Elle Simone reveals the secrets to ultra-nutty pecan bars. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "Vegan for Everyone"  Test cook Becky Hays makes Julia the ultimate vegan pinto bean-beet burger, tasting expert Jack Bishop challenges Bridget to a tasting of vegan mayo, and gadget critic Lisa McManus reviews spiralizers. Finally, test cook Elle Simone makes perfect Buffalo cauliflower bites. D

Growing a Greener World  "Urban Farm, Country Town - The Spark in Sparta (Sparta and Atlanta, GA)"  The Currey's are changing many lives in Sparta, GA. Early success with a backyard vegetable garden took off. With every new season, they continue to expand their farm to create new opportunities for a town that's now growing in far more ways than just a garden. D

Primal Grill with Steven Raichlen  "Spanish Smoke"  Long before Spanish culinary mad scientist Ferran Adria stunned the world with his foams, infusions, and molecular cuisine, grill masters from the Iberian peninsula were setting the world of barbecue, well, on fire. Like Basque grill master, Victor Arguinzoniz, whose grilled shrimp calls for olive oil and txakoli wine misted from spray bottles. Or Matias Gorrochatequi, whose salt-grilled steaks are a masterpiece of fiery simplicity. D

Rudy Maxa's World  "Tahiti & Bora Bora"  For sheer tropical splendor, the islands of Tahiti and Bora Bora stand alone. Hyper blue lagoons, white-sand beaches, fish of every shape, size and color, as well as a generous and welcoming people make these islands favorite destinations for travelers from around the world. Lush aerial photography is a highlight of this episode. D
