The JN4 "JENNY" aeroplane became the first mass produced aerial trainer, the first to carry the U.S. Mail, the first to introduce America to the sky through its colorful barnstorming story, and the plane that taught such greats as Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart to fly. Dinosaur Train  "Nest Swap/The Herd Is The Word"  "Nest Swap" - The Pteranodon Family decides to take a little vacation and swap nests with Larry's friends: a family of pterosaurs (Nemicolopterus, to be exact). But when the Pteranodon Family arrives at the Nemicolopterus nest, they realize that the Nemicolopterus Family is MUCH smaller than them, so everything is smaller: the Pteranodon Family doesn't even fit in their nest! Can the family make do, try something new, and still have a good time? Educational Objectives: The Nemicolopterous was a small, toothless pterosaur that lived in the forests of the early cretaceous. Pterosaur diversity included a range in body size, head and body shape, presence and absence of teeth, long tails, preferred habitat, and preferred diet. D

Small But Big - Squeeks is so excited because today is The Small But Big Art Fair, and she is making a small but big masterpiece for it! The others are excited to go see it, but getting there proves to be difficult because the directions are really for small creatures and will require Daisy, Nature Cat and Hal to use magnifying glasses to help them get there. It looks at the life and times of First Lady Louisa Catherine Adams, the wife of President John Quincy Adams and our first foreign-born First Lady. Thomas uses Adams' own letters and memoirs -- including some letters she discovered for the first time -- to draw an intimate portrait of a woman whom historians had previously overlooked. She found that although Adams was both extremely self-deprecating and ill much of her life, she also had great fortitude, traveling by herself in Europe during dangerous times. She also helped her husband greatly with his campaigns. The book looks at the complex relationship between Louisa and John Quincy -- and the friendship she developed with Abigail and John Adams, his parents. Thomas illuminates not only the life of this fascinating woman but also political life of America in the 1800s.G
