Globe Trekker  "Tough Trains: Vietnam"  Zay Harding discovers the checkered and often-dangerous history of the Vietnamese railway. His perilous journey takes him to Hanoi, Hue, the DMZ and Ho Chi Minh City where he meets a general who led the final attack on the Presidential Palace during the Vietnam War. D

Outdoor Idaho  "The Outfitters"  Idaho's outfitting industry has always attracted colorful characters: the ones completely at home leading a pack string down a mountain trail, or piloting a raft through one of the state's many Class IV rapids. This is an industry with a major impact on Idaho's economy, its image, and its outdoor resources. "The Outfitters" profiles some of these men and women, tasked with connecting us to the natural world; and in the process we discover why Idaho is a national leader in the licensing and regulating of this important industry.G

Oregon Experience  "Kam Wah Chung"  Among the thousands of Chinese miners to come to Eastern Oregon in the late 1800s were "Doc" Hay and Lung On, who open an herbal apothecary called Kam Wah Chung. Over time these two men attend to medical needs throughout the area, becoming highly regarded in the community.G

Weekends With Yankee  "The End of the Line"  This week on Weekends with Yankee, cohost Richard Wiese meets up with dune tour guide Rob Costa in Provincetown, Massachusetts, for an off-road ramble through Cape Cod National Seashore, taking in the magnificent views and stopping to visit one of the famous artists' cottages there. Next, we travel down to Rhode Island and out onto Narragansett Bay to hear the story of the Rose Island Lighthouse, which has been keeping watch over those waters for more than a century. For our last stop, we board a ferry to the Maine island of North Haven, a place so beautiful the locals call it "North Heaven. D
