P. Allen Smith's Garden to Table  "Crazy for Berries"  Allen visits a you-pick-em strawberry operation and then demonstrates how to put the bounty to use in the kitchen in strawberry lemonade. He provides a short history of the "Indian Series" of blackberries and how they were developed and offers ideas for using blueberries in landscaping.G

The Jazzy Vegetarian  "Ready, Set, Risotto!"  Host Laura Theodore prepares a vegan version of classic risotto. This hearty menu highlights Mushroom and Summer Squash Risotto, an easy dish to prepare for a weeknight meal. On the side, festive Romaine and Tomato Salad provides a pop of color. D

P. Allen Smith's Garden to Table  "Bunches of Blueberries"  Allen goes to Oregon to sample blueberry dishes and see how they are harvested. At the farm he makes blueberry muffins and shows how to use blueberries as an ornamental plant.G

Chef's Life  "Strawberry Stay at Home"  Vivian and Ben rebuild their restaurant against the backdrop of the Southern harbinger of spring, the strawberry. Their twins go on their first strawberry-picking excursion, and Vivian and a friend develop a recipe for coconut cornbread strawberry shortcake with basil whipped cream. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "Italian with Ease"  Test cook Julia Collin Davison uncovers the secrets to making semolina gnocchi at home. Then, tasting expert Jack Bishop challenges host Christopher Kimball to a tasting of balsamic vinegar. Finally, test cook Bridget Lancaster shows Chris how to make the best Italian sausage with grapes and balsamic vinegar. D

Growing a Greener World  "The Giving Garden: Ample Harvest Helps Share the Bounty (Milford, NJ)"  If you've ever grown a vegetable garden, you've probably had more of something than you could use at the end of the season. That was the basis for how AmpleHarvest.org was formed. D

Taste of Louisiana with Chef John Folse & Company: Hooks, Lies & Alibis  "Redfish/Snapper - Caminada Pass"  In this episode, John explains the different varieties of tasty Gulf fish species off of the coast. John introduces local seafood experts from Tommy Vidrine, champion gulf fisherman, who specializes in catching speckle trout. to Leah Chase, famous Creole chef from New Orleans, who describes how Creoles used red snapper to adorn their holiday table. Rudy Maxa's World  "Food, Drink & Place"  At Istanbul's Spice Market, persimmons are split open, their insides resembling melting rubies. Brown-gold paprika is carefully molded into the shape of a pyramid. Cinnamon, cumin, ginger, and cardamom infuse the air with the fragrance of the East. D
