Austin City Limits  "The Head and the Heart/Gomez"  From Seattle, Washington, the Head and the Heart indie rock group performs tunes from its self-titled debut album. Then British veterans Gomez follow with eclectic modern rock.G

Great Performances  "Herbie Hancock, Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil Celebrate Gershwin"  Dudamel, the philharmonic music director, and jazz pianist Herbie Hancock, the philharmonic's creative chair for jazz, present George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" as part of opening night of the orchestra's 2011-2012 season. Also on the program are "An American in Paris" and Hancock's unique improvisation of "Someone to Watch Over Me."G

Paul McCartney Good Evening New York City   The famed rocker attracts all ages - 120,000 people - to his three-night christening of New York's new Citi Field on the former Shea Stadium site, in July 2009. He and his band feature songs from the Beatles, Wings and McCartney's solo career. In addition to old favorites, the set includes strong material from his recent efforts.G

Sierra Center Stage  "Bela Fleck & The Flecktones"  Bela Fleck is considered one of the world's premier banjo players. His critically acclaimed music has been nominated in more categories than any other artist in the history of the Grammy Awards - for a total of 22 times! His band includes Victor Wooten (considered by many to be the best bass player alive), Wooten's brother "Futureman," who plays an unusual self-made drum set, and Jeff Coffin, a multi-talented woodwind player.
