Our development team used dozens of experimental prototypes and spilled all types of liquids onto countless carpet samples. We were amazed at how well Ken's invention extracted a variety of liquids out of carpet: wine, fruit punch, beet juice, even the liquid generated by our pets. Once our Everyday Edisons Engineering Team perfected a new prototype, our Design and Creative Team got together, spilled some more wine and pondered how to make the product look like and work like something retailers and consumers believed would actually suck, but not suck. D
