Outdoor Idaho  "Adventure Racing"  The Funtastics Adventure Racing Team of Coeur d'Alene joins fellow adrenaline-seekers who take part in Adventure Sports Week at Farragut State Park. The two-day competition offers 63 miles of biking, 22 miles of running, 19 miles of kayaking, and a swim across a bay on Lake Pend Oreille.G

Dialogue  "Roadtrip Nation"  Marcia Franklin talks with the founder of the PBS series Roadtrip Nation about how the program started and its goals, including an outreach tour of Idaho. The series takes young people on a six-week trip to talk with leaders about their paths to success. She also talks with a participant in one of the trips and to a representative of the College Board about its partnership with the program.G

The super readers fly into the story of a princess with a silly sense of humor and a big job to do. They help Gwennie use her talents to save the day, and Red discovers her own special gifts. D

Sid The Science Kid  "Too Much Noise"  Sid notices that when he covers his ears with his hands, everything sounds quieter. Maybe he has super powers! Sid explores his sense of hearing, and discovers that sounds travel through the air and into our ears. So it turns out Sid doesn't have super powers, he was just blocking sound waves from entering his ears!. D

WordWorld  "Pl-Pl-Plane/Mail Mix Up"  Pl-Pl-Plane: Frog and the Bug Band are headed to have some fun on the beach, but not everything goes as Frog had planned. Frog loses the letters "PL" from his plane and must search through the jungle to find them. After some crazy jungle adventures (including a run-in with a giant Frog-kissing plant), Frog realizes that fun doesn't always have to be planned! Mail Mix Up: Duck offers to help Kangaroo deliver letters to his WordFriends, but he forgets Kangaroo's instructions and delivers the wrong letters to everyone. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Teeny Weeny Adventure/I See Seeds"  Teeny Weeny Adventure - Nick has spotted a tiny ladybug, but Sally has found an even smaller ant! And there's nothing smaller than an ant. Or is there? Cat takes Nick and Sally to meet a variety of single-celled creatures, the smallest anywhere! Nick and Sally soon learn that a drop of water holds a whole lot more than they ever realized! I See Seeds - Sally and Nick are going on an adventure, but how are they going to get there? Skateboard? Train? Rocketship? They just can't decide, until Cat suggests they see how trees send their seeds on trips. They follow different seeds as they travel through the air, float on the water and hitch rides on animals. D

The Super Readers visit the Elves and the Shoemaker and discover that the Shoemaker is just as curious about his own secret friends! Educational Objectives: To learn about making friends, explore the alphabet and rhyme with UN words. Kids will find that the power to read can change the story. D

Dinosaur Train  "Stargazing on the Night Train/Get Into Nature!"  The Pteranodon family rides a special 'Night Train" to another part of the Cretaceous Time Period, where they meet a Troodontid "cousin" of the Conductor's, Sidney Sinovenator, who knows more about the stars than anyone. Sidney takes the family up to his favorite stargazing spot, "Starry Hill," and teaches the kids why the stars seem to move across the night sky. When the kids build their own version of a nest on the beach, below their actual family nest up on the cliff, they get the idea to turn their beach nest into a clubhouse. D

The Electric Company  "Bananas"  Annie's Uncle Sigmund needs The Electric Company's help to talk to an old friend who has come back to visit the neighborhood. D

Wild Kratts  "Caracal-Minton"  The Wild Kratts crew is are playing badminton on the African savannah when a high jumping wildcat called a caracal steals the birdie. And this is no ordinary birdie - it is Aviva's precious family heirloom. As they rush to get back the treasure from an elusive, leaping Caracal cat, they learn how the caracal's musculature is specifically designed stalking and leaping- a perfect example of the concept of "form for function. Paint This with Jerry Yarnell  "Kim, Part 1"  (16x20 Acrylic) This painting is the first step in teaching figures and portrait work. The smooth linen canvas used for portrait work is first prepared using a mottled gray background. Jerry starts with a rough sketch of the model using the negative space technique to develop the figure. D

Great Performances  "The Thomashefskys: Music and Memories of a Life in the Yiddish Theater"  This program brings to life the words and music of the American Yiddish theater. The story's lead characters -- Bessie and Boris Thomashefsky -- also happen to be the grandparents of San Francisco Symphony music director Michael Tilson Thomas. Bessie and Boris emigrated to the United States from Eastern Europe in the 1880s, and while still in their teens, they began to play major roles in the development of New York City's Yiddish theater. D
