Dialogue  "Historian Laurel Thatcher Ulrich"  Historian Laurel Thatcher Ulrich coined the phrase: "Well-behaved women seldom make history." The Harvard University professor grew up in Sugar City, Idaho, and won a Pulitzer Prize in 1991 for her book A Midwife's Tale: The Life of Martha Ballard, which was adapted into a PBS American Experience documentary. Host Marcia Franklin talks with Ulrich about her latest book, A House Full of Females: Mormon Diaries, 1835-1870.G

PBS NewsHour Weekend  "Jailed Juveniles"  The federal Justice Department counts 500,000 juveniles facing criminal charges, serving time, or on probation in the U.S., and every state still allows prosecutors to charge children as adults for certain crimes. But now all but two states have changed their laws to "raise the age" by which youth are processed as adults in criminal matters, partly because of a research on the high social costs and risks that come with arresting and detaining minors in adult jails and prisons.
