Highlights include a collection of signed Andy Warhol soup cans and pop art; and a 1570 "lotto" Oushak rug, initially purchased by the owner's uncle for $350, that is valued up to $40,000. Grand Coulee Dam: American Experience   Grand Coulee was more than a dam; it was a proclamation. In the wake of the Great Depression, America turned from private enterprise to public works - not simply to provide jobs, but to restore faith. The ultimate expression of Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal, Grand Coulee played a central role in transforming the Northwest; it was the largest hydroelectric power producing facility in the world when it was completed in March 1941.G

Elizabeth I: Killer Queen?   Historian Chris Skidmore takes on a 452-year-old cold case - the death of Amy Robsart, wife of Robert Dudley, who was involved in a controversial affair with Elizabeth I of England. The death, officially announced as caused by an accidental fall down a flight of stairs, sends shock waves through the court and the entire country. Now Skidmore unearths the original coronor's report, which indicates Amy Robsart had other serious injuries.G

American Masters  "Margaret Mitchell: American Rebel"  An Atlanta debutante, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Gone With the Wind challenges social restrictions placed on women; becomes one of Georgia's first female newspaper reporters; and uses money from her book to fund many causes, including scholarships for black medical students. Mitchell (1900-1949) suffers from depression and illness, yet personally answers every letter received about her book and works tirelessly for the American Red Cross during World War II.G
