Seven Wonders of the Buddhist World   Historian Bettany Hughes seeks to understand the different beliefs and practices that form the core of the Buddhist philosophy, beginning at the Mahabodhi Temple in India where Buddhism was born. At Nepal's Boudhanath Stupa, she looks into the teaching of Buddha or dharma, and she explores karma at the Temple of the Tooth in Sri Lanka. At Wat Pho Temple in Thailand, Hughes considers Samsara, the cycle of birth and death Buddhists seek to end through enlightenment, and at Angkor Wat in Cambodia she learns about meditation. She also looks at Zen in Hong Kong and the concept of nirvana in Los Angeles.G
