Martha Stewart's Cooking School  "Braising"  Braising is a busy cook's best friend, and here's why: with little hands-on time and no special equipment, this "low-and-slow" method produces hearty, consistently flavorful main courses and side dishes that belie their ease. Martha shows you which cuts are ideal for braising and the best ways to cook them, sharing recipes for classic pot roast, braised cabbage with apples and pulled pork sandwiches. D

Chef's Life  "Turnips - The Greens"  Late winter brings "run-up" turnip greens, which Vivian sees as central to her approach to Southern food, capturing both the spirit and the letter of what Chef and the Farmer is all about. Ms. Scarlett helps out by procuring greens from a local produce stand, washing them four times and discussing the how-to of buying and cooking good turnips to satisfy her "Southern people." Vivian downs a "cocktail for courage" as she awaits the arrival of Ben and Karen Barker, her culinary heroes. D

New Scandinavian Cooking  "A Journey to the North"  In this episode, Andreas travels north across the Arctic Circle on the train from Trondheim to Bodo. He goes fishing in the Queen of Rivers, Namsen and grills the salmon on a riverbank. On the highlands of the north Andreas makes reindeer meatballs and in Bodo where the landscape becomes lusher and greener again, Andreas fries a piece of Arctic beef - fit for a feast. D

Wild Photo Adventures  "Grouse of the Prairie"  Host and professional wildlife photographer Doug Gardner along with photographer Ron Hayes stalk and photograph sharp-tail and sage grouse on the Wyoming prairies.G
