PBS NewsHour Weekend  "Big Business and Climate Change"  Earlier this month, President Trump formally withdrew the United States from the 2015 Paris climate change accord, in which 195 nations agreed to voluntary steps to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases released by burning gasoline and coal - emissions that cause global warming. Some of the strongest opposition to the move in the U.S. came from business leaders, who had urged the administration to stay with the accord. D

Space Race  "Race for Rockets (1944-1949)"  We see the results of Wernher von Braun's work on the V-2 for the Nazis at Mittelwerk and Peenemunde, and his final activities within Germany during the last years of WWII, as both American and Soviet forces race to capture German rocket technology. Americans gain the upper hand by recovering von Braun, most of his senior staff and technical documents. Sergei Korolev's is released from the Gulag to act as the Soviets' rocketry expert alongside former colleague Valentin Glushko. They set to work bringing Soviet rocket technology up to date with that of von Braun, working with what material and personnel are left after von Braun's escape to the US. 1 of 4G

Rhodes made a fortune from diamonds and used it to fund his railway and to extend British rule across Africa, laying the foundations for apartheid in the process. Chris wants to discover if this railway built to further the interests of a white minority is still relevant to the people of these countries today. D
