Digestive System [daɪˈdʒes.tɪv ˌsɪs.təm]
The system of organs that breaks down food so the body can use the nutrients.

Your body needs food for to supply the chemicals you need to stay healthy. But food needs to be broken down into a substance your body can use. That’s the job of your digestive system. Your digestive system starts its job even before you eat your first bite.
