The United States Geological Survey has good information and comparison charts on earth's rivers and streams.

Idaho State University's Water Resources Research Institute has a site that explains the importance the the Snake River's Tributary Basins.

River Animation and Activities


This animation from Exploring Earth will help you explain how waterfalls erode rivers. Also from Exploring Earth's menu, look at Chapters 12 -16 which will provide you with some awesome animations to add to your river unit.
