They were brought over by English settlers as early as 1622. There are 20,000 native species of bees in the world, around 700 in Idaho. The majority are ground nesters. Rapid growth is threatening their habitat as earth movers scoop them up to make way for new businesses and subdivisions. Outdoor Idaho looks at the status of bees in Idaho and what’s being done to help them.

A story of surprise and revelation. A wildlife filmmaker spends his time during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown filming the bees in his urban garden and discovers the many diverse species and personalities that exist in this insect family.

Sir David Attenborough explores London’s Natural History Museum and meets some of the most extraordinary creatures from the past. Advanced CGI puts Attenborough face to face with a saber-toothed tiger, a giant eagle, and a colossal snake.

From Judy Collins to Curtis Stigers, we explore the rich heritage that captures the heart of Idaho. Through folk tradition and a jazz quintet to a song in native tongue, we celebrate the diversity of many great musical talents. From the early days of radio to a modern music studio, we examine the meaning and the power of song. As producer Andy Lawless says, “It’s through this music that we find our selves. The program features seven unique Idaho artists playing their music outside. We’ll hear a little bit from each artist about their music and life, but the documentary is primarily about letting the music speak for itself. Producer Lauren Melink says, “Music brings people together, from all walks of life. It’s hard to be angry with the person standing next to you when they’re bobbing their head along to the same tune you are.” This program will delight viewers with its delicate simplicity and profound depth. Leonardo da Vinci grows up in a Tuscan village surrounded by nature, then moves to Florence, where the Renaissance is in full bloom, to apprentice as an artist and craftsman. He shows extraordinary talent but at times struggles to finish commissions. Later, in Milan, he joins Duke Sforza’s court, begins writing treatises, and paints a monumental fresco depicting the Last Supper.

On April 20, 1992, Roger Taylor, Brian May and John Deacon – the surviving members of Queen - took the stage of London's legendary Wembley Stadium to announce the start of one of the biggest events in rock history: a tribute to the incomparable Freddie Mercury with a glittering array of guests, including Elton John, Robert Plant, Axl Rose, David Bowie, George Michael and many more.

One of the very few Bee Gees performances ever filmed, this music special showcases many of their greatest disco and pop hits, including “How Deep Is Your Love,” “To Love Somebody,” “Massachusetts," “You Should Be Dancing/Alone,” and many more.

What began as a bitter dispute over Union and States' Rights, ended as a struggle over the meaning of freedom in America.

Filmed before a live audience at Town Hall in New York City, this concert features the legendary folk singer performing her groundbreaking 1967 album, Wildflowers. Songs include “Since You Asked," "Sky Fell," "Albatross,” and Judy’s chart-topping rendition on Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now.” Judy closes the concert with one of her signature songs, “Send in the Clowns."

Recorded on his 1994-1995 world tour, ALWAYS AND FOREVER: AN EVENING OF SONGS AT ROYAL ALBERT HALL features the legendary Luther Vandross at his most smooth and sensuous, performing his greatest hits and favorite covers. This concert performance captures Vandross in top form: a true soul and R&B master. Featuring stellar back-up vocalists Ava Cherry, Kevin Owens, and Lisa Fischer, Vandross is joined on stage by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and at times by the London Community Gospel Choir to enhance the performance. From love songs, to emotional numbers, to party hits, Vandross belts out hit after hit. Songs include “Never Too Much,” “Stop to Love,” “Here and Now,” “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now,” and “Give Me the Reason.” Highlights include a soulful rendition of the song Roberta Flack sent to No. 1 in 1973—“Killing Me Softly With His Song”—plus a moving rendition of Lionel Richie’s “Hello.” Behind-the-scenes clips are interwoven throughout to give you a sense of what went into making the show.

1969 was a magical year for Creedence Clearwater Revival. Not only had the California rock band played for hundreds of thousands at Woodstock, but they also had four top singles and three top 10 albums. Rolling Stone dubbed them the best American band and they were challenging the Beatles for the title of the biggest group in the world. On the heels of this success, Creedence Clearwater Revival launched their first ever European tour, including a stop at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the most prestigious music venue in the U.K. CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL features previously unseen video and the only concert footage of the group’s original lineup to be released in its entirety. Narrated by actor Jeff Bridges, the 1970 concert special features John Fogerty, Tom Fogerty, Doug Clifford and Stu Cook performing such classics as “Fortunate Son,” “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Born on the Bayou” and more. This music special transports you back to an era when rock reigned supreme and CCR was at its apex. After spending roughly 50 years in storage, fans now have the chance to see and hear the meticulously restored footage. With rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty leaving less than a year after this performance and the group disbanding in 1972, this concert truly captures one of the last great performances of the original Creedence Clearwater Revival, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band known for their unique mix of swamp, blues, R&B and country.

Recorded in 1997, this concert marks the return of the band's most successful line-up of Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Stevie Nicks, who had not released an album together since 1987's Tango in the Night. The group performs "Go Your Own Way," "The Chain," "Landslide," "Gold Dust Woman," and "Gypsy." The USC Marching Band joins in on "Tusk" and "Don't Stop."
