Dozens of volunteers in Boise, Pocatello, and Moscow gather each year to pack IdahoPTV Education Kindergarten Readiness Kits. We curate, assemble, and deliver kits to more than 1,000 children at spring kindergarten registration events all around Idaho each year. Kits are funded entirely by donations to Idaho Public Television.
Students at the University of Idaho in Moscow volunteer to pack Idaho Public Television Kindergarten Readiness Kits in the KUID studio. Kindergarten Readiness Kits are funded entirely by donations to Idaho Public Television and are distributed to more than 1,000 children each year during spring kindergarten registration events at elementary schools across the state.
IdahoPTV Education hosted a fun Frontier Days event in Weippe, where we made rag dolls, horses on a stick, and GORP snacks; decorated bandanas; constructed a giant floor puzzle; and made faux leather vests in the style of Carl the Collector. We talked about Lewis and Clark, pioneer days, and railroad history.
We brought some Wild Kratts outdoor activities to a Winchester State Park Junior Ranger event.
