Meet Marty Morache, 87, who hunts, rides backcountry trails on his motorbike, and continues to give slideshow lectures about the outdoors. In eastern Idaho, Henriett Boland continues to view the countryside from her road bicycle, hunter Chuck Cavanaugh, 93, continues to spend some 250 days a year outside, and backcountry pilot Bob Jones, 87, continues to add to his 20,000 hours in the air.G

Sol   Solomon Tapatia Uyarasuk was a charismatic young Inuk and an amateur acrobat, musician and poet, who in recent years had become a rising star in the world of circus arts. A member of troupe Artcirq (Arctic Circus), Sol traveled around the world performing in Mali, Mexico, across Canada and in France. His upbringing, however, was unusual. D
