Nick Stellino: Storyteller in the Kitchen  "The Vegetarian"  While pondering life as a vegetarian, Nick discovers some fabulous new dishes loaded with spectacular flavors. Dishes include: Chilled Cantaloupe Soup / Salmon with Spinach and Pancetta Cream Sauce / Biancomangiare (Sicilian Almond Pudding). D

Mexico -- One Plate at a Time with Rick Bayless  "Tried & True Tamales"  There are seemingly as many styles of tamales as there are regions in Mexico, each steaming heap of fresh masa flavored in myriad ways. We'll see the iconic corn-husked versions at the casual Tamales Teresita, as well as the denser, banana-leaf-wrapped Chiapanecos style, sold by a family outside the historic San Juan Bautisa church. Then Rick steps through the classic Central-style tamales, and at home prepares a surprising sweet corn tamale. D

A Craftsman's Legacy  "The Potter"  Host Eric Gorges visits potter and musician Akira Satake, who discovered his love of pottery later in life. Eric makes a ceramic teapot. Eric and Akira discuss the serendipity that leads craftsmen to their craft. D

Travelscope  "Greece - Cruising The Isles"  A Greek Island cruise sounds like a bit of a cliche, but not when Joseph and the crew of Travelscope make landing on some of the Goddess Athena's special children. There's plenty of ancient history and beautiful scenic bays to explore, but the real life of the voyage is the opportunity to pull the small cruise ship right up to the docks and discover the heart and soul of the Greek isles and the people who inhabit them. There's always a story to be told and a laugh to share around a table of great food, local wine and music. D

Born to Explore with Richard Wiese  "Canada: Spirit Land"  Richard Wiese explores the wilds of Alberta, Canada, and comes face to face with black bears. D

Martha Stewart's Cooking School  "Mushrooms"  Martha sheds light on the wide world of mushrooms, exploring some of the many available varieties - from chanterelles to shiitakes - and how to cook them. She demystifies crepe-making, filling buckwheat crepes with a creamy mushroom mixture, and prepares a "meaty" vegetarian mushroom ragu served atop rigatoni. For an elegant starter, she makes French mushroom soup, as well as a modern-day mushroom risotto using the ancient grain called farro. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "Summer Picnic Party"  In this episode, test cook Dan Souza and host Julia teach viewers how to make the ultimate Grilled Chicken Thighs. Tasting expert Jack Bishop then challenges Bridget to a fresh mozzarella tasting, and gadget critic Lisa McManus reviews popsicle molds. Next, test cook Keith Dresser makes Bridget a foolproof Italian Pasta Salad. D

The Great British Baking Show  "Masterclass 2"  Mary and Paul tackle challenges they set the bakers in dessert and pie weeks. Mary shares her family recipe for tipsy trifle, floating islands and wobbly apricot tart, while Paul prepares custard tarts and showstopping spanakopita. D

Curious Traveler  "Curious Rome"  Why is there a giant hole in the top of the Pantheon? And how is it still standing after more than two millennia? Why does Piazza Navona look like a racetrack? And why did it used to be a swimming pool? Where did the bronze for St. Peter's Basilica come from, and why are those windows in the dome so heavenly?. D
