Conversations from the Sun Valley Writers' Conference
Since 1995, the Sun Valley Writers' Conference has brought together some of the nation's best-known writers, poets, filmmakers and thought leaders to engage an audience in provocative and thoughtful conversations.
The event takes place over four days in August on the grounds and rooms of the Sun Valley Lodge and Sun Valley Inn, as well as in the new outdoor Sun Valley Pavilion.
Producer and host Marcia Franklin has been a regular attendee and has interviewed authors since 2005. The event took a hiatus in 2007 while the Pavilion was being built. The 2013 event was cancelled because of major wildfires in the area, and in 2020 the conference was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
