Unaltered State Teen Video Contest!

Raise your voice about the dangers of youth substance use and win big cash prizes!
 

Youth substance use has been on the rise in Idaho. The drug landscape is more dangerous and deadly than ever. Between alcohol, vaping, marijuana, and counterfeit prescriptions, experts theorize that teens are using substances to cope with stress, feeling of belonging, and mental health challenges. 

If you're from Idaho and are 12-18 years old, enter the Unaltered State teen video contest to inspire your peers to not use substances in the first place. 

Just create and upload your 90-second vape-bashing masterpiece, and you could win a portion of the more than $10,000 in prize money being awarded.

In partnership with the Idaho Millennium Fund, Idaho Public Television has developed a statewide youth substance use awareness campaign aimed at changing attitudes and behaviors. Welcome to the Unaltered State explores the deadly drug landscape, highlights existing resources, and inspires hope for a substance-free future. 

Before you begin creating your incredible video, you'll need to know the rules and guidelines for the contest and learn what our judges will be looking for.

First things first, make sure you:

• View official rules
• View official guidelines
• Understand how entries will be judged
• Fill out and submit a release form/parent permission

• Participants must be 12-18 years old, residing and attending school in Idaho.
• Videos must inspire youth to not experiment with or use substances. Videos may focus on a single substance or focus on substances generally.
• Videos must not exceed 90 seconds in length.
• Participants can submit videos as an individual or as a team/group.
• Videos are judged on accuracy, creativity, production and overall impact.
• Upload your video to YouTube as unlisted. Share your YouTube unlisted link in your entry form. Warning: don't mark your video as private or we won't be able to watch it!
