Law Enforcement on Public Lands

A 1995 dispute between U.S. Forest Service officials and a rancher regarding a dead wolf prompted Senator Larry Craig to say agents working on public lands need to be armed. In this episode of Dialogue, host Marcia Franklin talks with agents with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management about why they feel agents should be armed while working on public lands. Guests also discuss their everyday duties and the specific laws their agencies are tasked with enforcing.
