Idaho Public Television is dedicated to supporting teachers throughout the state and fostering collaboration between teachers. Each year, we recognize one K-12 educator in Idaho who goes above and beyond to engage students and enhance learning by integrating technology or digital media into the classroom. 

For the 2024-2025 school year, we selected Faye Nagler, Moscow School District Elementary Librarian and STEM Coordinator for the work she is doing to create an inclusive digital environment for her students, serving as an inspiration to children and her colleagues alike.

Nagler says she has a passion for STEAM and strives “to create lessons that link technology our students love using—and that provides real-world connections—with differentiated learning for all ages and abilities. Being a Digital Innovator lets me give students skills that they learn today and can build on in the future.” 

IdahoPTV will send Nagler to the Northwest Council for Computer Education Conference in Seattle, provide her with a Classroom Innovation Kit of her own design (worth up to $1,000), and bring her into our team of digital innovators and educators working to help Idaho teachers integrate technology into their classrooms.

Christine Peargrin, fourth-grade teacher at Rupert Elementary School in Rupert, is named IdahoPTV Digital Innovator 2023-2024.

Bailee Bigley, third-grade teacher at Linden Park Elementary in Idaho Falls, is named IdahoPTV Digital Innovator 2021-2022.

Katie Mason, first-grade teacher at Koelsch Elementary in Boise, is named IdahoPTV Digital Innovator 2020-2021.

Gabriel Garcia, who teaches video production at Capital High School and computer science at Riverglen Junior High School in Boise, is named:

• PBS Digital Innovator All-Star 2020-2022

Paige Somoza, teacher at Riverglen Junior High School in Boise, is named:
