Followed by Luke Patton's short film, Foos Your Daddy?, about a young man's turning point with his overbearing father on the day he leaves for college. D

Cyberchase  "Team Spirit"  Interest is lagging in the annual Mount Olympus Games, attendance is sagging, and Zeus is not happy. How can he restore the spirit of competition? With lightning bolt speed, he pits Team Motherboard, coached by Digit, against Team Hacker, coached by Wicked, The teams have to compete in the Triadditon, a relay-type race made up of an obstacle course, a swim race, and a foot race where each competitor does one event and tags their teammate to do the next. Bragging rights and hero worship go to the winners. D

Knit and Crochet Now!  "Versatile Shawls"  We are pleased to have new host Deborah Norville join us and this week it's all about shawls. Once upon a time shawls were mostly for warmth, but today they are very much a fashion item. Joining Deborah are Kristin Nicholas, who shows us how to knit up the lovely lace Rafael Shawl, and Ellen Gormley demonstrating the unique Star Zag Shawl. D

Wyland's Art Studio  "California Coast Dolphins"  Art Lesson: Color contrast. Find out how color contrast adds drama to a painting. There are many ways to depict contrast in painting by placing or arranging different objects, colors, shades, or textures against each other. D

Taste The Islands with Chef Irie  "Carnival Nights"  Chef Irie reinterprets Trinidadian favorites with Cilantro Corn soup, Chicken Pelau, Pineapple Pepper Slaw and an Irie-style ginger libation. Viewers listen in on a food conversation between Chef and Trinidadian Olympic athlete and Sports Analyst Ato Boldon. D

Pati's Mexican Table  "Pati's Texican"  Inspired by her years living in Texas, Pati creates a series of dishes that combine her passion for Mexican cuisine and her favorite foods of America's Lone Star State. Her oldest son, Alan, who was born in Texas and is fully Tex-Mex, joins her in the kitchen. Recipe 1: Tex-Mex Chili; Recipe 2: Poblano, Bacon & Cheddar Skillet Corn Bread; Recipe 3: Mexican Chocolate Doughnuts. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Florentine Delights and Tuscan Side Trips"  Rick takes in more of the artistic treasures of the city that propelled Europe out of the Middle Ages. Then he takes side trips to a couple of rival cities and cultural capitals in their own right - Pisa and Luca. He marvels at the tipsy tower, circles a city on its ramparts, and enjoys some Puccini in the composer's hometown. Part 2 of 2G

Born to Explore with Richard Wiese  "Namibia: Painted People of the Desert"  Explorer Richard Wiese travels to the African country of Namibia. He treks through the Namib Desert to meet members of the Himba tribe, whose way of life remains unchanged over thousands of years. Richard encounters an array of wild creatures, from giraffes to dune beetles, which have adapted to the extreme desert conditions. D

Lidia's Kitchen  "Herbs and Spices"  Fresh herbs are simply a must in Lidia's kitchen and today she makes three dishes that highlight herbs and spices. She begins the menu with pickled carrots: a quick pickle of tiny carrots packed with the flavors of parsley, garlic and mint; braised beef in guazzetto: rich, braised beef filled with enticing aromas and skillet cauliflower with lemon and mint: cauliflower florettes showered with lemon juice and a sprinkle of fresh mint. Mike Colemeco's Real Food  "Racines/Wine Disciples"  Two restaurants that are wine lovers paradise, both affiliated with wine shop. Racine's is linked to Chambers St Wines down the block, spot on French inspired menu and an amazing selection of wines by the glass or bottle. Wine Disciples is a store right next to a restaurant, here the cooking is American / Italian, ingredient driven and the wine list by glass and bottle is wonderful. D

Jacques Pepin: Heart & Soul  "Cuisine Economique"  Jacques demonstrates how home cooking using quality ingredients doesn't have to break the bank! This style of cooking, learned from his mother, brings together inexpensive ingredients that inspire creative dishes. Black lentil salad with eggs includes a lesson on how to properly boil an egg every time. Jacques adds fresh vegetables to the hearty dish of pork neck and bean fricassee. D

Travels with Darley  "Illinois: Route 66 & Midewin"  Travel to the top diners and historic sites along all-American Route 66, including modern nature escapes that may surprise you. This is an Illinois road trip you won't forget, as host Darley Newman drives old Route 66 in a classic car to meet bison at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie and explore the best of "the Mother Road.".
