Quilting Arts  "Pieces and Parts"  Deconstruct the image, then reconstruct it into new art. Textile artist Malka Dubrawsky combines scraps in a new way as she considers shapes and colors in her quilts. Art quilter Sarah Ann Smith shares her techniques for achieving crisp corners, hanging sleeves and a professional finish for her art. D

Yan Can Cook: Spice Kingdom  "That Which Sustains Life"  The origin of Chengdu can be credited to Dujiangyan, a set of levies that diverted the Min River over 2,000 years ago. Martin visits this UNESCO historical site and saw first hand how the water had created the fertile farmland which eventually gave rise to the city of Chengdu. He enjoys the abundance of fruits and vegetables by visiting local farms and orchards. D

Globe Trekker  "Papua New Guinea Islands"  The trekkers explore New Britain Island, the largest in the Bismarck Archipelago of Papua New Guinea. Inhabited by the indigenous Papuans and the Austronesians, the island was captured by the Japanese during World War II. Today the island's traditional cultures are diverse and complex but there are several ancient traditions that remain active today, especially the Dukduk Secret Society. D

Lidia's Kitchen  "Heartwarming Favorites"  Today, Lidia creates the ultimate heartwarming dinner table filled with dishes that deliver flavor, comfort and love in every bite. She starts with a soothing rice and lentil soup topped with cheese and olive oil; roasted olives with orange and rosemary are an exciting accompaniment to any meal; and ricotta meatloaf, a family favorite, packed with cheese and topped with fresh tomato sauce and even more cheese is the star of the show. Ellie's Real Good Food  "It's My Party"  Ellie prepares an ensemble of make-ahead dishes that are designed so that both party-giver and partygoers can equally enjoy the festivities.
