NOVA  "Inside Animal Minds: Bird Genius"  Researchers are discovering that some creatures master skills purportedly restricted to humans. Many are bird brains. Meet a cockatoo with a talent for picking locks. See a wild crow on a mission to solve an eight-step puzzle box so quickly his performance has to be captured with high-speed photography. NOVA examines whether these are skills revealing high intelligence, or just parlor tricks and the result of training and instinct. Part 3 of 3G

Design Squad  "Pvc Kayak"  Two teams of high school students compete to create the best solution to each week's engineering project as they open the second season.G

Everyday Edisons  "Kitties' New Place to Go"  Maura Indes and Tom Adam love their cats so much that when they travel, they always take their cats with them. The problem? Bathroom breaks for Fluffy don't always coincide with Maura and Tom's, so they came up with the idea of a completely disposable kitty litter box, not only for cat owners on the road, but for busy pet owners who would like to have their kitty litter and boxes delivered to their door once a month. Bringing their prototype to the casting call was a big step, but ultimately our judges felt the idea was worth digging into. D

8:00 pm
Your Inner Fish  "Your Inner Fish"  This scientific adventure examines the legacy of creatures that lived hundreds of millions of years ago that is hidden within the human body. Based on the best-selling book by Neil Shubin, the mini-series begins with how humans' arms, legs, necks and lungs were bequeathed by a fish that lumbered onto land some 375 million years ago. The genetic legacy can be seen today in human DNA, including the genes used to build hands and limbs. Part 1 of 3G

9:00 pm
We've Got The Power   We've Got the Power is the follow-up documentary to the Emmy® Award-winning program, The Next Frontier: Engineering the Golden Age of Green. We've Got the Power shows viewers how the United States can replace fossil fuels with clean energy in a way that is economically beneficial to consumers and businesses alike, and ensures a safer environment for future generations. By driving electric vehicles, installing solar on our roofs, or doing something as simple as getting a home energy audit, we all have the power to improve energy efficiency, save money, and phase out fossil fuels.
