Everyday Edisons  "Kitties' New Place to Go"  Maura Indes and Tom Adam love their cats so much that when they travel, they always take their cats with them. The problem? Bathroom breaks for Fluffy don't always coincide with Maura and Tom's, so they came up with the idea of a completely disposable kitty litter box, not only for cat owners on the road, but for busy pet owners who would like to have their kitty litter and boxes delivered to their door once a month. Bringing their prototype to the casting call was a big step, but ultimately our judges felt the idea was worth digging into. D

Autism: Coming of Age   In the next 10 to 15 years, an estimated 800,000 children with autism will age out of the school system and transition into adulthood. Then, they will look to ill-prepared state and federal governments for the support services and resources to meet their many needs - a situation autism experts refer to as the "coming tsunami." The one-hour documentary AUTISM: COMING OF AGE provides an inside look at the lives of three adults with autism and includes interviews with their families and support teaMs. Autism and disability experts from Massachusetts, New York, Washington, Virginia and Pennsylvania also discuss the current system, impending challenges and possible outcomes for the future. D

Alan Alda in Scientific American Frontiers  "Mysteries of the Deep"  Pioneering submarine crews explore the ill-fated Confederate secret weapon, Hunley, which carried out the first successful submarine attack. Alda peeks into the deep-diving watercraft, Alvin, which found the Titanic and discovered life in the deep ocean.G

10:00 pm
NOVA  "Meteor Strike"  A 7,000-ton asteroid crashes into the earth's atmosphere, explodes and falls to earth across a wide swath near the Ural Mountains on February 15. Dubbed the Siberian Meteor, it explodes with the power of 30 Hiroshima bombs, damaging buildings and sending more than 1,000 people to the hospital. Countless digital dashboard cameras record the event creating crowd-sourced data that allows NOVA crews and impact scientists to hit the ground in Russia in search of debris from the explosion, and clues to the meteor's origin and makeup. The program also explores some even greater explosions of the past, asking if Earth is in the cross-hairs of a celestrial shooting gallery.G
