Then he begins showing how to start highlighting the sand washes. Now he highlights the background mountains and shows how to dry-brush a soft haze at the base of the mountain. D

Globe Trekker  "Papua New Guinea Islands"  The trekkers explore New Britain Island, the largest in the Bismarck Archipelago of Papua New Guinea. Inhabited by the indigenous Papuans and the Austronesians, the island was captured by the Japanese during World War II. Today the island's traditional cultures are diverse and complex but there are several ancient traditions that remain active today, especially the Dukduk Secret Society. D

Lidia's Kitchen  "The Roast"  Lidia loves a good roast. It brings out unimaginable flavors, and the aromas from the kitchen will beckon your family to the table. Today's menu includes red onions stuffed with rice; a roast pork shoulder with roast vegetable sauce; and a brown sugar, bourbon and warm baked pineapple served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. D

Simply Ming  "Langoustine & Tomatoes with Chef Axel Bjorn Claussen"  It wouldn't be a visit to Iceland without experiencing its geothermal energy. Ming visits Freidheimar, a tomato greenhouse in Iceland that runs off of geothermal energy to make over 370 tons of tomatoes a year. Ming picks tomatoes off the vine to bring to Fishmarket Restaurant in downtown Reykjavik where he meets chef Axel Bjorn Claussen to make some explosive cocktails along with his sous chef Kirill Ter-Martirosov. D

Arts In Every Classroom: A Workshop for Elementary School Teachers, The  "Workshop 1. What Is Art?"  The Learner Teams and students explore the nature of theatre, music, dance, and visual art as they consider their own definitions for each art form. They watch an excerpt from Quidam, a surrealistic performance piece that combines the four art forms in unusual ways, and begin to explore connections between fantasy and reality. D
