Sara's Weeknight Meals  "Locavore In Napa with Joey Altman"  Sara travels to a beautiful vineyard in Napa, California to cook farm fresh meals locally sourced with Bay Area chef Joey Altman. They whip up Grilled Salmon, Arugula & Grilled Corn Salad and Sweet Pea & Avocado Crostini. With Grilled Duck Breast, Honey-Roasted Carrots, Farro-Herb Salad and Cider Jus, the best of the farm is on the plate. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Provence: Legendary Light, Wind and Wine"  Rick climbs Roman ruins in Nimes, explores a papal palace in Avignon, and savors vivid views immortalized by van Gogh in Arles. He crosses acres of wispy vineyards, explores the Cotes du Rhone and seeks out more wonders of the South of France.G

Travelscope  "Taiwan - The Culture of Tea"  The mystery and majesty of tea is explored when Joseph spotlights the culture of this royal beverage on Taiwan. During this adventure he travels to Lujang to join in the creation of traditional tea snacks, visits an Assam tea farm in Nantou, participates in a formal tea ceremony in Tainan and tops it all off with a visit to the annual Lantern Festival in Chiayi. Along the way he meets the masters of Taiwan's pottery, tin-sculpting and lantern-making arts. D

P. Allen Smith's Garden Home  "The 12 Principles"  Opening a new season, Smith gives an overview of the 12 design principles that will be used in the shows, illustrated by examples in his own Garden Home Retreat. He also shares tips on maintaining a lawn and gets advice from an expert on espalier fruit trees.G

Ask This Old House  "Transplanting Trees; Hooking up Plumbing to a Washing Machine"  Landscape contractor Roger Cook and arborist Matt Foti kick off the 10th season of ASK THIS OLD HOUSE by helping a homeowner transplant two trees. Then Roger, along with host Kevin O'Connor, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey, and general contractor Tom Silva ask "what is it?" Afterward, Richard helps a homeowner hook up the plumbing to her washing machine. D

For Your Home  "Music & Little Black Dresses"  Inspired by original black and white paintings of little black dresses and a baby grand piano, Vicki and Sloan decorate the music salon and create a warm and welcoming formal dining room that sets the perfect stage for mellow music and entertaining. D

Katie Brown Workshop  "Home for the Holidays"  Katie demonstrates how infuse a home with the spirit of the season. In the Kitchen: Mouth-Watering Roasted Turkey, Delicious Garlic Potatoes, and a Quick-and-Easy Apple Crumble. Projects: A wreath made from rope. D

Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting  "Triangle Boot Camp"  Marianne Fons and daughter Mary Fons detail the differences between half-square and quarter-square triangles. They show examples of blocks that use these basic building blocks of patchwork and then demonstrate correct cutting for each. D

Donna Dewberry Show  "Pushing Daisies"  Learn how to paint fresh, whimsical daisies using Donna's One Stroke painting techniques. Then decorate glassware, chairs, table and floor cloth and you have the perfect setting for an afternoon party. D

Cook's Country from America's Test Kitchen  "Old Fashioned Pork"  Bridget Lancaster shows host Christopher Kimball how to make crispy Pan-Fried Pork chops. next, equipment expert Adam Reid is reviewing vacuum sealers. and finally, Julia Collin Davison uncovers the secrets to perfect Pork Pot roast using a slow cooker. D

Theater Talk  "The Producers of Smash"  Producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan discuss their careers bringing musical theater to film and television. They also discuss their innovative new NBC TV series Smash, a show about the making of a Broadway musical. D

Closer to Truth  "The Mystery of Existence?"  Call all-that-exists "something." Why is there "something" rather than "nothing"? The question haunts me. Why is there anything at all?. D
