Paving The Way: The National Park-To-Park Highway  "See America First"  A 5,000-mile barely-paved loop connects 11 crown jewels of the young National Parks system in 1920. Starting from Denver, this film follows in the tire tracks of the intrepid travelers as they explored Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone, Glacier, Mt. Rainier, Crater Lake and Lassen Volcanic national parks. Bill Painter narrates this special that includes photographs from the original tour. Part 1 of 2G

Paving The Way: The National Park-To-Park Highway  "Welcome Home"  The conclusion continues the tour that touches General Grant (now King's Canyon), Sequoia, Zion, Grand Canyon and Mesa Verde national parks. Interviews with historians and other experts on the parks system, post-World War I roads and early automobile travel bring the era alive. Part 2 of 2G

Blue Ridge Parkway: A Long & Winding Road   THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY: A LONG & WINDING ROAD is a historical documentary concerning the most visited segment of the National Park Service. The documentary also makes public, for the first time, a secret deal between FDR and a powerful congressman that was a stunning New Deal political tradeoff. D
