Projects: Planting a regional vegetable and herb garden and making creative garden stakes to mark the rows. D

Paint This with Jerry Yarnell  "Pheasant in the Rough, Part 1"  (18x24 Canvas: Acrylic Medium). In the first session Jerry overviews the techniques which will be covered in the painting as well as an overview of his painting palette colors. Next Jerry under-paints the canvas in gray and uses a #10 bristle brush with the mottling technique. D

Dialogue  "Alexandra Fuller"  Marcia Franklin interviews the author who now lives in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, but who grew up in Rhodesia, now known as Zimbabwe. Her newest book is about her mother's early years in Kenya and Rhodesia. The interview is the first of four 2012 "Conversations from the Sun Valley Writers' Conference."G

Antiques Roadshow  "Biloxi, MS - Hour Three"  Host Mark L. Walberg discusses art inspired by the area landscape and its creatures while at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art. At the convention center, appraisers inspect a suit worn by Olivia de Haviland in a 1943 film, and four 1827 watercolor portraits attributed to a mysterious North Carolina-based artist, valued up to $60,000. Live from the Artists Den  "The Killers"  The Killers played an unforgettable show in New York City at the magnificent Chinatown landmark Capitale, designed in the 19th Century by influential architect Stanford White as the home of the Bowery Savings Bank. The Las Vegas-based band drew on material from across their multi-platinum catalogue, including such smash hits as "Mr. Brightside" and "Human.". D

Austin City Limits  "Rosanne Cash/Brandi Carlile"  Cash is backed up by a full band with her husband, John Leventhal, on lead guitar. Most of her songs are from her album, The List, that draws on the 100 songs her father, Johnny Cash, described as essential country songs. Carlile blows the roof off with her big voice and exciting music.G

Great Performances at the Met  "Parsifal"  Jonas Kaufmann stars in the title role of the innocent who finds wisdom in Francois Girard's new vision for Wagner's final masterpiece. His fellow Wagnerian luminaries include Katarina Dalayman as the mysterious Kundry, Peter Mattei as the ailing Amfortas, Evgeny Nikitin as the wicked Klingsor, and Rene Pape as the noble knight Gurnemanz. Daniele Gatti conducts. D
