Il Volo Takes Flight
The tenor trio of Italian teenage heartthrobs - Piero Barone, Ignazio Bochetto and Gianluca Ginoble - put their hearts and soaring voices into this special filmed at Detroit's Opera House last October. They showcase their vocal talent and interpretive gift for music on their versions of "O Sole Mio," "Il Mondo" and a medley of Ennio Morricone songs from film soundtracks. They are backed by a 49-piece orchestra and five-piece rhythm section. They welcome guest Pia Toscano, a favorite contestant from "American Idol's" season 10, to the stage.
