Global Voices  "Whose Country?"  A young Egyptian filmmaker narrates this highly personal account of his interaction with a group of Cairo policemen over a period of 3 years - from right after the outbreak of the Egyptian revolution (in 2011) until the removal of ex-President Morsi by the military (in 2013). As he forms a close relationship with one Cairo cop in particular, the filmmaker recognizes he is entering into something that once was, for him, a previously forbidden circle: He is the son of a criminal investigator, but one whose father never confided in him about his difficult line of work. As the filmmaker gradually gains the policemen's trust, they begin to share with him their stories and first-hand accounts of corruption and abuse. D

Mysteries of the Coral Canyon   Featuring a team of scientists and research divers as they explore the atolls of French Polynesia, this documentary exposes the mysteries of the coral reef and the creatures and predators that live there. The scientists venture into ferocious ocean currents to capture never-before-seen footage of sharks hunting at night, as well as clips featuring new shark hunting behavior. The film also includes a rare natural spectacle involving thousands of large fish trying to lay their eggs while simultaneously surviving a shark onslaught.G

Shiloh: The Devil's Own Day   On April 6 and 7, 1862, more than 100,000 Union and Confederate soldiers clashed near a small, log-cabin church in west Tennessee named after the Hebrew word for "peace" - Shiloh. The Battle of Shiloh, one of the bloodiest conflicts ever fought on American soil, rewrote the notion of war as "glorious." Nearly 24,000 soldiers were killed, missing or wounded. D
