Rambles along La Rambla, Gaudi's treasures, a neighborhood festival, designer shopping and waterfront fun are some of the highlights. D

The Desert Speaks  "People and Their Prickly Plants"  Enjoy a slice of the cactus-collecting life with a look into the ways people collect and enjoy some of the oddest plants in the world, then head to Scottsdale, Arizona to see the largest private collection of desert-area plants in the world. Also on the itinerary are visits to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum and an amazing collection at Bach's Nursery in Tucson, Arizona, where they have a better success rate with their individually raised saguaro cacti than Mother Nature herself. Finally, travel on Interstate 10 to Los Angeles for North America's largest cactus and succulent show - the Olympics of cactus cultivation. D

Lidia's Italy In America  "Philadelphia: It All Happens on Philadelphia's 9th Street"  In this episode, Lidia visits Philadelphia's Sarcone & Son's Bakery, where their bread is made the same way today as it was when this institution first opened in 1918; a truly old-world bakery, Louis Sarcone closes up shop after each day's batch is sold. Lidia also takes a tour of the impressive artisanal Italian imports at 9th Street Market, such as Claudio Specialty Foods and Di Bruno Brothers'. In the kitchen, Lidia makes Chicken Trombino, Stuffed Escarole, and is joined by Grandma for a favorite Italian-American dessert: Pignoli cookies. D

"Chilled Artichokes with Dill Sauce" or "Caramelized Balsamic Artichokes" both make an elegant side dish for any special meal. D

Sesame Street  "Rocco's Boat"  Elmo is playing with his doll, Baby David, in a large washtub. The doll is floating in a tube, and Zoe comes by and asks if Rocco, her pet rock, can swim too. Elmo reluctantly agrees. D

Dinosaur Train  "Night Train/Fossil Fred"  Night Train - Dad, Buddy and Tiny take a special ride on the Dinosaur Train at night, learning about animals that are active after dark, culminating at the Big Pond for a nature walk under the full moon. Fossil Fred - Buddy, Tiny and Don play "detective" and search around the Big Pond for fossils. The kids end up finding an entire skeleton of a Jurassic dinosaur. D

Super Why!  "The Swiss Family Robinson"  Little Boy Blue is stuck on a little island in Storybrook Pond and can't get back to shore. Super Why and his friends head into the story of The Swiss Family Robinson to meet a family who is just as stranded as Little Boy Blue. They'll need to use what's around them to survive in this do-it-yourself island adventure! Educational Objectives: To learn to think creatively in tricky situations. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Rain Game/No Sssweater Is Better"  Rain Game - Sally wants to water the plants in her backyard, but it's hot and sunny outside. They need rain, and lots of it! Good thing the Cat in the Hat knows exactly where to go to get some: the rain forest! With the assistance of some toucans and the singing of howler monkeys, they explore each level of the rain forest, eventually reaching the top and the rain! No SSSweater is Better - Nick's favorite sweater is too small and he doesn't want to change it. The Cat in the Hat has a friend with the exact same problem! He brings them to meet Slyde the snake who shows Nick and Sally how he sheds his skin when it gets too small for him. D

Wild Kratts  "Mimic"  While exploring why some animals mimic the looks of others, Martin and Chris encounter a cheetah cub and its mom. But before they know it, evil fashion designer, Donita Donata, 'cat-naps' the startled mom right in front of their eyes. The Wild Kratts team springs into action on a rescue mission before Donita adds the momma cheetah to her new fall line. D

Ucook! with Chef Bob   In the first part of this episode, Chef Bob makes one of his favorite party pleasures, carrot and cantaloupe soup. He uses fresh garden mint and limoncello liquor to finish the dish. Served chilled, this is a perfect summertime dish to offer friends. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Switzerland's Jungfrau Region: Best of the Alps"  If Heidi is alive, she's in this sky-high corner of the Swiss Alps, with cows on breathtaking ridges. After settling into a traditional village where locals scythe hay by hand, we hike, bike, and parasail. We blast an alphorn, get sprayed by waterfalls raging deep inside a mountain, and munch muesli for breakfast at 10,000 feet. D

Journey of Sacagawea   Oral history and tradition among the Lemhi Shoshonis, Sacagawea's descendants, and the Hidatsas, her childhood abductors, profile the person behind the western historical icon.
