Game Changers   The program tells of a pilot program in to identify high-ability people in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and math), fund their training at four universities and create new teacher-preparation programs that focus on the skills and knowledge needed in the Information Age. Follow the individuals who received a $30,000 stipend, completed the newly created master's degree program, then worked in Indiana's high-need rural and urban schools.G

Global Voices  "Cuba: An African Odyssey Part 2"  From Che Guevara's military campaign to avenge Lumumba in the Congo up to the fall of apartheid in South Africa, 300,000 Cubans fought alongside African revolutionaries. Cuba, an African Odyssey is the previously untold story of Cuba's support for African revolutions, one of the Cold War's most vigorous contests over resources and ideology. D

Outdoor Idaho  "Winter Play"  Idahoans participate in a historic Scottish game on ice; team up with a dog for unusual cross-country ski contests; fly above the snow with a snowkite; drive 4x4s across the snow; and take the plunge for a polar bear swim.G

Dialogue  "STEM Research"  On this week's Dialogue, host Joan Cartan-Hansen talks with the administrators who oversee an array of cutting edge scientific research at the state's three major universities to find out more about their work and their support for science education in Idaho. Cartan-Hansen's guests are Mark Rudin, Vice President of Research at Boise State University; Richard Jacobsen, Executive Director of Research and Technology Transfer Idaho State University and John "Jack" McIver, Vice President for Research and Economic Development at University of Idaho. Included in this week's show is a report from Aaron Kunz about how scientists are using microscopic creatures to repurpose garbage.G

Independent Lens  "Bhutto"  This film captures the life and death of Benazir Bhutto, who broke the Islamic glass ceiling as the first woman leader of a Muslim country. Beloved by Pakistan's people, she was reviled by the nation's military establishment and male-dominated ruling class. More than two years after her death from a suicide bomber, Bhutto remains a divisive figure, a symbolic metaphor for the fight between terrorism and moderation.G
