America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "Braised to Perfection"  Test cook Julia Collin Davison shows host Christopher Kimball how to make the ultimate braised halibut with leeks and mustard at home. Next, tasting expert Jack Bishop challenges Chris to a tasting of smoked salmon. Then, gadget guru Lisa McManus uncovers the best warming trays. D

Joanne Weir Gets Fresh  "Herbs"  Joanne grew her first garden when she was a freshmen in college. All she had room for was a tiny herb garden on her windowsill, but boy, did that little garden inspire her to cook. Today she's going to Taku Inlet in Alaska where they'll fish for sockeye salmon, and with her student Santosh, they are going to make a slow roasted side of salmon, paired with a fresh herb salad with basil, arugula, parsley, mint, and cilantro, with a lemon vinaigrette. D

Taste of Louisiana with Chef John Folse & Company: Hooks, Lies & Alibis  "Bass/Crappie - Toledo Bend Reservoir"  In this episode, John goes to the world-famous Toledo Bend Reservoir to tangle with hard-fighting large mouth bass and the delicious white perch, locally called crappie. Local chef and restaurant owner, Randy Ziegler whips up a mouth-watering herb-baked bass on the pier. John meets local bass legend Harold Allen who talks about his time as a fishing rodeo champion. D

Smart Travels - Europe with Rudy Maxa  "Ireland's West Coast"  Maxa starts in Galway, shopping for Irish crystal and Celtic jewelry. He takes a salt-sprayed boat to the Aran Islands to scale the heights of a Stone Age fort. To the south, he passes through the eerie landscape of the Burren.G
