The lesson starts by under painting the sky with Gesso and then creating the horizontal glow with light orange in the blue sky, being sure to darken the corners. Next, the various values of distant landscape are added, keeping everything soft and smudgy. D

In the next town over, in Concord, Massachusetts, master carpenter Norm Abram stops in to see the progress on the period restoration of the Colonel James Barrett house, a little known house that played a big role in the American Revolution.
