Primal Grill with Steven Raichlen  "Heat Without Meat"  Whether you're a vegetarian, feeding someone who doesn't eat meat, or simply crave meatless grilling from time to time, this show is for you. Smoked egg pate from Israel. (Think of it as turbocharged egg salad.) Grilled tofu with pineapple, cucumber, and a chili-peanut dipping sauce from Malaysia. Grilled bananas with a spoon-licking caliber coconut-caramel sauce from Thailand (as good for breakfast or a snack as a dessert). And Israeli Eggplant Salad-proof that you don't need meat to show off your grilling skills.G

The Jazzy Vegetarian  "Rockilicious!"  Host Laura Theodore prepares garden fresh recipes with help from a special guest, Lynyrd Skynyrd lead guitarist Rickey Medlocke. This "wow" meal stars an enticing entree: Roasted Cauliflower Cutlets with Lemon-Caper Sauce. On the side, Zingy Roasted Asparagus preps in a flash, and Grape Tomato, Avocado and Fresh Herb Salad makes great use of summer tomatoes, fresh basil and parsley. D

Barbecue University with Steven Raichlen  "Meatless Grilling"  Steve prepares a vegetarian menu of flame-seared portobello mushrooms topped with cheese, ginger-studded grilled tofu and macaroni and cheese with fire-roasted onions.G

Pati's Mexican Table  "History of Oaxaca Cuisine"  Pati takes viewers on a deep dive into the history of Oaxaca cuisine from pre-Hispanic origins, to the introduction of Spanish techniques, and finally modern day movements. She starts by tasting ancestral recipes at the local market. Then, she meets up with a friend and historian who takes her to a restaurant, where they eat traditional Oaxaca recipes with a modern twist. D

Joanne Weir's Cooking Confidence  "Eat Your Vegetables"  Joanne eases the anxiety that can sometimes set in when a vegetarian is coming to dinner. Working with her fitness specialist student Randy she prepares a satisfying bulgur and feta salad and fried potato and spiced red pepper frittata that would satisfy vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Recipes: Bulgur, Feta and Oven-Dried Tomato Salad and Fried Potato and Spiced Red Pepper Frittata. D

Hubert Keller: Secrets of a Chef  "Gluten-Free Favorites"  Chef Keller has the secret for keeping your gluten-free friends happy with three great recipes. He stuffs mini peppers with a delicious quinoa salad, followed by a chia seed wrap abundantly stuffed with vegetarian goodies. The finale is a kale and spinach smoothie that has unexpected benefits. D

The Jazzy Vegetarian  "Tex-Mex with a Twist"  Host Laura Theodore prepares plant-based, Tex-Mex style cuisine. The spicy fare starts with Seitan Fajitas, showcasing the meaty texture of seitan, drizzled with Cashew Sour "Cream," and served over Spicy Rice. Zesty Maple Almonds are crunchy, spicy, and sweet, while a Mango- Banana Smoothie provides a refreshing beverage to round out the menu. D

Martha Stewart's Cooking School  "Mushrooms"  Martha sheds light on the wide world of mushrooms, exploring some of the many available varieties - from chanterelles to shiitakes - and how to cook them. She demystifies crepe-making, filling buckwheat crepes with a creamy mushroom mixture, and prepares a "meaty" vegetarian mushroom ragu served atop rigatoni. For an elegant starter, she makes French mushroom soup, as well as a modern-day mushroom risotto using the ancient grain called farro. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "Cast Iron Staples"  Hosts Julia Collin Davison and Bridget Lancaster debunk cast iron myths and share the basics for cast iron care. Then, Julia shows Bridget how to make the ultimate cast iron steak. Next, equipment expert Adam Ried reviews paper towel holders in the Equipment Corner. D
