Afterward, Roger shares with Kevin a tip for efficiently splitting firewood. And Richard helps a homeowner who has hot water coming from his cold water faucet. D

Rick Steves' Europe Classics  "France's Alsace"  After village-hopping and wine-shopping along the Alsatian wine road, we savor the world-class cuisine and art of Colmar and visit the birthplace of Champagne.G

Equitrekking  "Alberta"  Equitrekking host Darley Newman travels to Alberta, Canada to experience Western adventure and stunning natural scenery. In Kananaskis, Darley treks amid the beautiful snow-capped Canadian Rockies with a longtime Alberta cowboy, conquering high altitudes and an August hailstorm. Next, Darley experiences the fast-paced Calgary Stampede with its equestrian competitions, Western art, rodeos and surprisingly diverse food offerings. D

Mexico -- One Plate at a Time with Rick Bayless  "Tacos Hola!"  We find Rick and his daughter, Lanie, at the Mexico City's colorful Sonora Market, an emporium of medicinal herbs and the best place in town to buy cazuelas, the beautifully rustic earthenware cooking and serving casseroles that define a whole class of stews and taco fillings. We tend to think of taquerias for their familiar grilled and griddled fillings, like carne asada. But, Rick explains, there's a whole world of stands and shops that have no grill at all and specialize in satisfyingly homey, slow-cooked fillings made in cazuelas with everything from stewed meat to richly flavorful vegetables. D
