Meanwhile, general contractor Tom Silva installs new wood windows in the addition that come with exterior trim already attached and finished in the factory. In the next town over, in Concord, Massachusetts, master carpenter Norm Abram stops in to see the progress on the period restoration of the Colonel James Barrett house, a little known house that played a big role in the American Revolution. D

Ask This Old House  "Installing A Front Porch Light; Splitting Firewood"  Host Kevin O'Connor works with an electrician in Atlanta to install a front porch light. Then Kevin, along with general contractor Tom Silva, landscape contractor Roger Cook and plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey, asks, "What Is It?" Afterward, Roger shares with Kevin a tip for efficiently splitting firewood. And Richard helps a homeowner who has hot water coming from his cold water faucet. D

Expert testimony, messages from the plane's computer system, CGI weather reconstructions and an airbus simulator provides a forensic view of events.G

Outdoor Idaho  "The Foothills"  The backdrop for Idaho's Statehouse and the city of Boise is also the instant getaway for people in the Treasure Valley with more than 10,000 acres set aside through a voter-approved levy and more than 135 miles of trails. Runners, walkers, mountain bikers, wildflower hunters, wildlife watchers and more make year around use of the Foothills, which merge into the Boise Ridge, topped by Bogus Basin Ski Resort.G

Oregon Field Guide  "Newberry Crater Geothermal"  A geothermal experiment outside Newberry Crater aims to get hot water out of a dry well with the hope of creating massive reservoirs two miles underground. The earth would heat the cold water injected into fissures in the rocks and pumps would bring the hot water back above ground for energy production.G

Garrow's Law   Garrow is spurred by his nemesis Silvester to defend a man accused of raping a servant girl. Garrow wins the controversial case, and the detestable man is acquitted. Garrow's close friendship with Lady Sarah is complicating his professional life.G

Masterpiece Mystery!  "Zen: Cabal"  A disgraced aristocrat jumps off a bridge. Or was he pushed? Zen gets mixed signals from his scheming bosses. The Ministry of Justice wants a ruling of suicide. A powerful and beautiful female prosecutor hints that Zen had better start looking for the murderer. Additionally, it appears the victim may have been trying to inform on a group called the Cabal.G

10:30 pm 
New Tricks  "Tiger, Tiger"  When Harefield Zoo refurbishes the former lodgings of its zookeeper believed to have been mauled to death by a tiger a few years before, there is evidence that suggests he was killed before being found in the enclosure. The UCOS team reopens the case and learns there was another side to the quiet zookeeper.G

11:30 pm 
Joseph Rosendo's Travelscope  "Riding The Range In Southern Alberta, Canada"  Joseph visits ancient, sacred and historic native sites. He celebrates the rich heritage of the Blackfoot First Nations people. Then he saddles up and rides into the Alberta foothills in search of strays with Lucas family members on their ranch.G
