Geocache   GEOCACHE looks at an emerging outdoor sport in which players employ multi-billion dollar global satellite positioning technology, the Internet and hiking skills on a high-tech but low-stakes treasure hunt to locate items hidden all over the world. GEOCACHE details the origins and rules of the game, the various types of caches - typically small, water-proof containers filled with a log book and trinkets -and the lengths players will go to in hiding and finding caches. The program spotlights the sport's zealous fan base, a quirky group of self-proclaimed techno-geeks, and visits GeoWoodstock IV, an international convention where players gather to socialize and geocache. D

Lords of the Gourd: The Pursuit of Excellence   The extreme gardeners who compete at the annual Cooperstown Weigh Off have one obsessive goal -- to raise the biggest giant pumpkin in the world. These gurus of the gourd nurture their fruits through harsh weather, floods, animal attacks and even sabotage to produce glorious pumpkins of gigantic proportion. This program follows Joe Pukos and his fellow competitors through the final harrowing days of harvest and the journey across New York State with the bulging behemoths strapped into the backs of their pick-ups. D

POV  "Kings of Pastry"  Cameras capture the drama of the greatest pastry competition in the world - the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France awards, the country's Nobel Prize for pastry. Sixteen chefs, including Jacquy Pfeiffer, co-founder of Chicago's French Pastry School, whip up gorgeous, delectable, gravity-defying concoctions. Disasters and successes keep the tension high as they deliver their spun-sugar desserts to the display table.G
