Cyberchase  "Shari Spotter and the Cosmic Crumpets"  Digit and the kids must help Shari Spotter (of Frogsnorts School for Sorcerers) make the magical Cosmic Crumpets before Hacker crashes the Sorcerer's Ball and becomes the most powerful magician in Cyberspace!. D

Quilting Arts  "Improv"  Break loose from the tried and true - improvise! Abstract art quilter Cindy Grisdela makes colorful improv blocks from scraps and sets them in various ways. Textile artist Malka Dubrawsky uses primarily black and white to make bold designs. Host Susan Brubaker Knapp mashes it all up with interesting embellishments she creates. D

Paint This With Jerry Yarnell  "Gray Wolf Ridge, Part 4"  In this session, Jerry shows his viewers several different techniques for painting in the final details on top of the cliff, like the dead pine trees, the fallen logs, and other debris along the base of the pine trees. He shows how to properly use the script brush to paint in the smaller limbs. Then finishes by applying brighter snow on top of the eroded bank. D

Chef's Life  "Turnips - The Roots"  Rainy winters can yield some dull vegetable varieties, few more unglamorous than the turnip. Nevertheless, Vivian is determined to showcase this root vegetable. She features her winter rolls with pickled turnips at a charity dinner with James Beard Award-winner Ashley Christiansen and other notable chefs from the region. D

Mike Colameco's Real Food  "Ivy Stark / Dos Caminos"  A veteran of NYC kitchens for well over two decades, Chef Ivy Stark is a talent working under the radar. She runs the sprawling operations of the various Dos Caminos spots here and in Las Vegas. Though known for their volume, under her stewardship they do a remarkable amount of quality work from scratch.G

Along with Tokyo-born, Washington, D.C. restauranteur Daisuke Utagawa, host Rudy Maxa tours Tokyo, the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, and the southern, subtropical island of Kyushu. D

Lidia's Kitchen  "Family Brunch"  Today, Lidia shares some new show-stopping dishes for the perfect family style brunch that includes crostata with kale butternut squash and ricotta, made of a flaky dough filled with a creamy colorful mix of ricotta, kale, butternut squash and golden raisins. Carrot and orange salad is the next item on the menu-a bright dish that adds color to any meal. Lidia's potato and egg frico, a crispy asiago cheese crust made with potatoes and eggs, is always a winner at the brunch table. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "A Spanish Affair"  Host Julia Collin Davison reveals the secrets to making the best paella on the grill with host Bridget Lancaster. Then, equipment expert Adam Ried reviews paella pans in the Equipment Corner. Finally, test cook Dan Souza shows Julia how to make the ultimate patatas bravas at home. D

Simply Ming  "Chris Hastings"  This week on Simply Ming, Ming is joined by southern Chef Chris Hastings, who has three restaurants in Alabama including the hot & hot fish club and his newly opened Ovenbird. Chris prepares classic southern flavors with his creamy shrimp and grits. Then, Ming cooks Jook, a savory rice porridge, with a brown and white mixed house rice. D
