Richard joins a Tsonga tribesman to catch fish in unusual reed traps and visits a rural primary school to see how the next generation of South Africans is coming of age. D

Jacques goes on to cure his own meat for a belly-warming dish of kale, sausage, ribs and lima bean stew, followed by a springtime stew of radishes made with aromatic walnut oil. D

Equitrekking  "Georgia Coast"  On Sea Island, Equitrekking host Darley Newman rides with a naturalist and tries what the island natives call "swim riding." On secluded Cumberland Island, Darley observes wild horses with local naturalist Fred Whitehead, who speaks about herd dynamics, the history of horses on the island and how they survive in the subtropical environment. Darley stays at the island's only lodging, the historic Greyfield Inn, and learns about the Carnegie family's role in the island's history. D
